About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for assigned clinic patients
- Work under the direction of the Clinic Director and/or Chief Nursing Officer
- Attend in-services or complete make-up assignments
- Consistently follow Policies and Procedures to ensure positive patient outcomes
- Handle laboratory specimens appropriately
- Keep sites in compliance with TJC, DHS, CHDP, and Medi-Cal Managed Care Requirements
- Perform Waive Testing and Phlebotomy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant diploma from an approved course
- At least 1 year of experience in ambulatory care setting or similar setting is highly desirable
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training required
- Bilingual in English/ Spanish preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to community medicine and providing culturally competent care to the medically underserved
