About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national corporate partnership strategy aligned with Family Promise's mission, strategic plan, and annual revenue goals
  • Establish annual and multi-year corporate revenue goals, pipeline targets, retention objectives, and partnership growth strategies
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified corporate prospects
  • Identify emerging industries, companies, and partnership opportunities aligned with organizational priorities and mission
  • Develop strategies to diversify and build corporate revenue streams
  • Provide forecasting, pipeline analysis, and revenue reporting to the Chief Development Officer and senior leadership
  • Lead identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and closing of significant national corporate partnerships
  • Build relationships with senior corporate decision-makers across corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, community affairs, marketing, human resources, and employee engagement
  • Develop customized partnership opportunities aligned with corporate interests, Family Promise's mission, programs, and geographic reach
  • Lead presentations, proposals, negotiations, and partnership agreements
  • Represent Family Promise at corporate meetings, industry gatherings, conferences, and external events
  • Engage executive leadership, Board members, volunteers, and network leaders to advance high-value prospects
  • Oversee a portfolio of significant national corporate relationships
  • Develop relationship and growth plans for priority partners, including revenue goals, engagement strategies, stewardship, renewal, and expansion
  • Build multi-year partnerships increasing financial investment and mission engagement
  • Expand existing relationships through philanthropy, sponsorship, cause marketing, employee engagement, workplace giving, and other partnership forms
  • Ensure timely, meaningful impact reporting to partners
  • Lead renewal and upgrade strategies for major corporate partners
  • Serve as executive-level relationship manager and escalation point
  • Collaborate with Programs, Marketing and Communications, Finance, and Affiliate Services on partnership development and activation
  • Ensure partnership agreements define deliverables, financial commitments, responsibilities, timelines, recognition, reporting, and expectations
  • Establish internal processes for evaluating partnership opportunities
  • Coordinate complex, cross-department partnership activations
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications on cause-marketing campaigns, sponsorship recognition, storytelling, and corporate communications
  • Partner with Programs and leadership to ensure partnerships support mission priorities and can be delivered
  • Work with Finance on revenue forecasting, gift processing, budgeting, reporting, and contractual obligations
  • Develop a Corporate Partnerships team and advise organizational leadership on corporate fundraising, partnership strategy, market opportunities, and emerging trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience
  • 7+ years of significant progressive experience in corporate fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development, strategic partnerships, and/or sponsorship
  • Demonstrated success securing and growing significant multi-year corporate partnerships at the national level and achieving ambitious revenue goals
  • Experience working within a national nonprofit, chapter-based organization, federation, or similarly complex organization strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate relationships involving national stakeholders with differing priorities and responsibilities
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing fundraising or partnership professionals
  • Strong understanding of corporate philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, sponsorship, employee engagement, and related partnership models
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing a substantial prospect pipeline
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, proposal development, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and influence colleagues without direct authority
  • Strong financial acumen, including revenue forecasting, pipeline analysis, budgeting, and performance management
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage portfolios, pipelines, activities, and forecasts
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and executive communication skills
  • Work schedule primarily aligned with the Eastern Time zone
