About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain frontend features for business-to-business applications using React, TypeScript and Blazor
  • Contribute to applications built with JavaScript/TypeScript and C#/.NET technologies, with support from experienced engineers
  • Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering teams to deliver intuitive, accessible and reliable user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code following established engineering practices
  • Build and improve reusable UI components
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Contribute to improvements in application quality, performance, accessibility and user experience
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, communicate progress and raise questions or blockers
  • Continuously learn and explore technologies, tools and engineering practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Junior Software Engineer with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Foundational knowledge of frontend development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with JavaScript fundamentals, including ES6+, asynchronous programming and basic programming concepts
  • Familiarity with React, Blazor or another modern frontend framework, through academic projects, internships, personal projects or professional experience
  • Interest in learning and working with TypeScript, React, Blazor and the .NET ecosystem
  • Understanding of clean, maintainable and testable code
  • Familiarity with Git and basic software development workflows
  • Comfortable communicating in English, both written and verbal
  • Nice to have: Experience with TypeScript, React or Next.js
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of C# and .NET / ASP.NET Core
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with Blazor, including Razor components, component lifecycle, data binding and event handling
  • Nice to have: Experience with Blazor UI component libraries, such as MudBlazor
  • Nice to have: Understanding of component-based architecture, state management and reusable UI design
  • Nice to have: Basic knowledge of backend development using ASP.NET Core, Node.js or NestJS
  • Nice to have: Familiarity with REST APIs or GraphQL
  • Nice to have: Understanding of unit testing and frontend testing tools, including Jest, React Testing Library, xUnit or bUnit
  • Nice to have: Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies
  • Nice to have: Personal, academic or professional projects demonstrating an interest in frontend development
