About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evolve Finance services and applications architecture by refining current systems and ensuring smooth usage throughout the Farfetch ecosystem
- Investigate reported issues, identify root causes, and define and implement corrective strategies with the team
- Monitor, maintain, and support existing services and applications
- Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers and Data, Product, and Security teams on the technical roadmap and solutions
- Cooperate with other teams to ensure technical feasibility of project scopes
- Develop technical capabilities using .NET, Mongo, SQL Server, Kafka, Redis, and Docker
- Report to the Engineering Lead
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in object-oriented languages (C# .NET) with a deep understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and data structures
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and messaging systems; Kafka is a plus
- Passion for code quality and good knowledge of testing strategies
- Ability to make autonomous technical decisions
- Interest in financial accounting of platform transactions, financial reporting, and fiscal/operational documentation
- Knowledge of modern software development best practices; AI agentic workflows are a plus
- Experience in NoSQL and/or SQL databases
- Experience with Agile (SCRUM/Kanban) methodologies is a plus
- At least 3 years of experience in software development
- Proficient in written and spoken English
