About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive automation through scripting, APIs, workflow automation, and integrations across identity, MDM, ITSM, HR, and compliance systems
Build and maintain automated joiner-mover-leaver provisioning, license reclamation, access and compliance reporting, and audit evidence collection
Expand self-service through request catalogs, automated approval and provisioning routing, and documentation
Own identity and access management across Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, and the broader SaaS estate
Run the IT service desk, including intake, triage, prioritization, resolution, and service targets through Jira Service Management
Manage the Mac fleet through MDM, including enrollment, provisioning, configuration, patching, security compliance, and certificate rotation
Administer Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and the Atlassian suite
Execute quarterly user access reviews and access changes, producing SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audit evidence
Manage SaaS vendors, software licenses, renewals, procurement, spend, and application inventory
Own hardware procurement, asset inventory, device lifecycle, office network, and ISP relationship
Administer tenant-level cloud access and IAM policy for Azure, AWS, and GCP; support cloud cost monitoring and anomaly review
Manage DNS, domains, certificates, and web platform administration
Measure automation impact through ticket volume, provisioning time, and manual touches per request
Maintain IT policies, work instructions, and runbooks; contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Support overlapping security operations, including endpoint protection, DNS filtering, removable storage exceptions, and incident response
Produce leadership reporting on IT service metrics, fleet and patch compliance, access reviews, and software spend

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT management, with at least 2 years owning an IT function or leading IT initiatives independently
Hands-on experience administering identity platforms, including SSO, MFA, conditional access, and group-based access control
Demonstrated experience managing a laptop fleet through an MDM platform including zero-touch enrollment, configuration profiles, and patch enforcement
Experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence), including permissions, workflows, and service desk configuration
Experience running IT onboarding and offboarding at scale, with an understanding of timely deprovisioning for security and audit
Working knowledge of SaaS license management and IT procurement, including renewal negotiation and spend optimization
Familiarity with IT controls under compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, including access reviews, change management, and evidence production
Strong scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, and fluency with REST APIs, webhooks, and workflow automation tools
Demonstrated track record of replacing manual IT processes with automation and measuring the result
Comfort working in version control and reviewing infrastructure or automation code
Comfortable working in a small team environment and owning outcomes end to end
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Ability to be in-office 3 times per week in Sorrento Valley, San Diego
