About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Integrate Fastly into new customers’ systems during onboarding
  • Design and build technical solutions on Fastly using VCL, Go, Rust, or JavaScript
  • Guide existing customers on additional features and performance tuning
  • Write and present training materials to customers and internal teams
  • Work with Sales Engineers to build proof of concepts for prospective customers
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the Fastly Delivery and Compute platform
  • Support service onboarding, configuration migration, traffic go-live, training, and ongoing application integration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proficiency in CDN and WAF technologies, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Expert knowledge of HTTP and web application implementation
  • Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, and TLS
  • Basic coding knowledge and projects built in Go, JavaScript, or Rust
  • Experience as a customer-facing technical consultant
  • Experience with project management, including analyzing requirements, designing and documenting solutions, and delivering projects to successful completion
  • Experience creating training materials and mentoring junior team members
  • Availability during core business hours
  • Residence in the Pacific timezone (PST) or Mountain timezone (MST)
  • Fully completed application and resume or CV required
