About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Increase Fire sales to meet sales objectives for the Western Region
  • Lead sales efforts to develop new account Fire opportunities
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and competition
  • Coordinate activities to obtain assigned new business and sales quota
  • Communicate with business unit personnel regarding business environment, products, pricing, product mix, technology, market trends, and operational issues
  • Respond to competitive and market opportunities and communications from distributors, dealers, OEMs, end users, and the factory
  • Communicate pertinent matters to manufacturer representatives and group staff
  • Develop and implement an annual sales plan
  • Coordinate participation in local, state, regional, and national trade shows
  • Maintain quarterly market coverage documentation
  • Process annual distributor agreements and manage distributor network additions and deletions
  • Control expenses effectively
  • Facilitate timely information flow to the factory, sales representatives, and accounts
  • Work with the inside sales team to maintain quotations and acceptable margins
  • Forecast monthly sales by product to coordinate production and delivery
  • Complete administrative responsibilities including expense reports, new business reports, quarterly narratives, schedules, and forecasts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of study preferred (e.g., Business, Marketing, etc.)
  • Five (5) years' experience in Automotive, Fleet and/or Fire Department sales preferred
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software
  • Strong customer issue trouble-shooting capabilities using multiple channels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate information effectively to diverse audiences
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish is a plus
