About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide virtual healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner through Felix’s digital healthcare platform
- Deliver care focused on weight management and obesity treatment
- Assess and manage patients through written, asynchronous communications
- Provide ongoing patient care across digital health categories
- Order laboratory testing using a provincial billing number
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable professional codes of conduct
- Work a minimum of 40 scheduled hours per week on the platform
- Collaborate with physicians, engineering and clinical support teams
- Use Felix’s platform, EMRs and remote-work technology
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in at least one province in Canada
- Preference for cross-jurisdictional or multiple provincial licensure
- Minimum availability of 40 scheduled hours per week
- 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Direct experience treating and managing obesity
- Physically located in Canada
- Billing number in the province(s) where licensed, required for ordering laboratory testing
- Member in good standing of the applicable College(s)
- Maintain eligibility and willingness to be licensed in other provinces
- Maintain confidentiality and follow the governing provincial/territorial code of conduct
- Experience in telemedicine
- Proficient understanding of technology, EMRs and remote work
- Additional experience in weight loss, menopause, mental health, erectile dysfunction and birth control care is an asset
- Adaptable and open to change
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Currently incorporated or willing to become incorporated
