About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide virtual healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner
- Deliver care through Felix’s digital healthcare platform
- Treat and manage patients with obesity and support weight management
- Provide asynchronous care through written patient messages
- Order laboratory testing using provincial billing credentials
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable professional codes of conduct
- Use the Felix platform, EMRs, and remote-work technology
- Collaborate with engineering and clinical support teams
- Maintain eligibility for practice across additional Canadian provinces as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in at least one province in Canada
- Preference for cross-jurisdictional or multiple provincial licensure
- Minimum commitment of 20 scheduled hours per week
- 2+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience
- Demonstrated experience providing patients with the best possible care
- Direct experience treating and managing obesity
- Physically located in Canada
- Billing number in the province(s) of licensure, required for ordering laboratory testing
- Member in good standing of the applicable College(s)
- Maintain eligibility and willingness to become licensed in other provinces
- Maintain confidentiality and follow the governing provincial or territorial code of conduct
- Experience in telemedicine
- Proficient understanding of technology, EMRs, and remote work
- Experience in weight loss, menopause, mental health, erectile dysfunction, or birth control care is an asset
- Adaptable and open to change
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Currently incorporated or willing to become incorporated
