About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect and implement high-performance, scalable backend microservices, including core components of the Chat Platform
  • Build, deploy, and iterate on UI services and conversational interfaces for remittance services
  • Design and manage infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests with real-time messaging
  • Develop backend services using industry standards and Google Cloud services
  • Mentor junior developers and collaborate with product, UX/UI, and business teams
  • Use customer feedback and analytics to improve conversational experiences and chatbot effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to build, ship, and iterate on software applications with an emphasis on real-world impact
  • Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures
  • Experience with web services, including SOAP and REST APIs
  • Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event Driven Architecture, A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex or similar technologies
  • Curiosity and/or experience in Fintech is an added advantage
  • Fluent or Advanced English
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse technologies
  • Experience or competency in Python, Flask/FastAPI, REST APIs, Redis, SQL, gRPC, React, HTTP, HTML/DOM, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, React Native, Google Cloud services, Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, and PagerDuty
