About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build scalable, cloud-native services that process infrastructure, backup, and asset telemetry data streams and deliver insights to customers
- Lead significant features from requirements through release
- Partner with product to define requirements and success criteria
- Break work into iterative deliverables and coordinate engineering contributions through release
- Design, implement, and optimize Azure services and data pipelines using resiliency-relevant data from backup, hypervisor, EDR, and cloud sources
- Build reliable third-party API integrations, including authentication, rate limits, pagination, and upstream format changes
- Use agentic coding tools daily and critically evaluate generated code
- Own key platform components, maintaining health, reliability, monitoring, logging, and maintainability
- Identify risks, dependencies, and technical unknowns early
- Mentor engineers, provide feedback, and participate in retrospectives
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features on time
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, is preferred
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in Python or a statically typed language such as C#, Java, C++, or Rust
- Working knowledge of Python is required
- Experience designing and building services, APIs, and data pipelines in a cloud environment, including microservices and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience using AI coding agents to build and ship software
- Proven experience leading feature or project delivery involving multiple engineers from requirements definition through release
- Experience working on agile teams and contributing to continuous improvement
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong understanding of security best practices, data protection, authentication, and secure coding
- Ability to work effectively on a fully remote team
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, Delta Tables, PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Bicep, Azure Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Anthropic Claude, Python, Rust, TypeScript, and Vue.js
- Industry experience in cybersecurity or familiarity with common security practices and frameworks
- Experience across multiple languages and technology stacks
- Background working on an early-stage or fast-moving software product
- Excellent analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication, relationship building, and leadership capabilities
- Ability to form relationships across all levels of the company while modeling Fenix24’s Culture and Values
