About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure daily operations of the Financial Cash Disbursements team
- Provide strategic initiatives and process improvement for pre- and post-payment operations
- Handle foreign and domestic wire processes from start to finish
- Review invoices, Bills of Lading, account setups, manual checks and authorizations
- Address negative vendor balances through credit sells or acquiring refunds
- Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions
- Navigate, research and analyze system data and knowledge documents to respond to inquiries and identify root causes
- Collaborate with Accounting groups to resolve outstanding items on monthly GL reports
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and reports
- Apply three-way match processes, vendor discounts and payment terms
- Complete assigned tasks autonomously and ensure administrative processes are performed
- Resolve vendor invoice issues, payment discrepancies and other accounts payable matters
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline disbursement processes and improve efficiency
- Generate and communicate presentations to large groups
- Analyze business-process data and workflows to recommend solutions and support data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with internal and external business partners on findings and improvement opportunities
- Monitor key performance indicators, identify gaps and implement change-management techniques
- Prepare departmental reports and charts
- Perform other duties and special projects related to Financial Cash Disbursements operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the payment processing space or the equivalent
- Exposure to other functions of the AP process preferred
- Effective analytical, reconciliation and reasoning skills
- Ability to summarize information and clearly identify key elements, trends, results or relationships
- Ability to identify sources of challenges and exercise initiative and good judgment to make decisions and provide solutions
- Ability to handle and analyze large amounts of data accurately while maintaining timelines, deadlines and resources
- Strong use of Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and Access
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work East Coast working hours
