About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Ferguson’s Decision Support Center
  • Define product vision and strategy
  • Determine customer needs through market research
  • Complete competitive analyses and market validation across customers and products
  • Manage and communicate a detailed product roadmap
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research to drive business value and roadmap prioritization
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve operational efficiency and business impact
  • Collaborate with business, Finance, and Reporting teams to define, document, and prioritize requirements
  • Communicate changes and their alignment with company goals to business leaders
  • Work with Project Management to ensure products are delivered on time and properly scoped
  • Coordinate alignment among delivery teams, customer groups, and leadership throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Monitor product health through analytics and customer feedback sessions
  • Provide ongoing product commentary to leadership
  • Maintain a work environment supporting customer service, collaboration, performance feedback, recognition, respect, and employee satisfaction
  • Support quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–7 years of Product Management/Product Owner experience delivering enterprise solutions
  • Experience with data and analytics platforms, including Power BI, Azure, and reporting tools
  • Strong background in product lifecycle ownership, including strategy, roadmap, and backlog
  • Experience partnering with Finance and business stakeholders on reporting and data-driven solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery models
  • Ability to translate sophisticated business needs into clear product direction and requirements
  • Strong analytical approach focused on data accuracy, reporting, and business value
  • Proven ability to prioritize, influence, and align cross-functional stakeholders
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience with enterprise reporting, analytics platforms, or “single source of truth” initiatives
  • Background partnering closely with Finance on reporting and metrics
  • Ability to balance speed, quality, and data integrity
