About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the national territory field sales organization of six frontline sales directors and approximately 50 field account executives
  • Own the territory revenue plan and sell the full Custom, Configurable, and Standard component solution offering
  • Report to the Chief Revenue Officer
  • Own territory field sales revenue, forecast accuracy, pipeline coverage, and quota attainment
  • Install territory reviews, account plans, pipeline inspection, and win/loss discipline
  • Manage with a P&L mindset, balancing growth investment, seller productivity, and gross profit
  • Lead the shift from transactional, catalog-led selling to value-based, consultative selling
  • Drive MEDDPICC-based discovery and qualification with VP, Sales Acceleration
  • Reorient territory coverage, account tiering, and time allocation toward installed-base expansion
  • Lead and develop six frontline sales directors through coaching, talent upgrades, and performance management
  • Own hiring to plan through the November 30, 2026 leadership hiring milestone and beyond
  • Build a repeatable talent engine for future sales leaders
  • Reinforce a unified MISUMI Americas identity and customer experience
  • Partner with VP, Emerging Accounts on territory coverage, account development, and hand-offs
  • Coordinate territory-to-named-account transitions through the April 1, 2027 go-live and beyond

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Has led a multi-region B2B field sales organization with full revenue ownership and a demonstrated record of growing the book
  • Proven multi-layer leadership of leaders of leaders, including sales directors and seller teams
  • Experience operating through significant organizational scaling or transformation
  • Direct experience shifting transactional or catalog-driven sales toward consultative, full-solution, value-based selling, with measurable outcomes
  • CRM discipline, pipeline analytics, territory design, and structured qualification methodologies such as MEDDPICC or equivalent
  • Change leadership under integration conditions
  • High say:do ratio
  • Strongly preferred: 15+ years of B2B sales leadership in industrial manufacturing, factory automation components, industrial distribution, or adjacent technical product sectors
  • Strongly preferred: personally led a book of business of $250M or more
  • Strongly preferred: career experience inside a company that scaled through and beyond $1B in revenue
  • Strongly preferred: led a field sales organization of roughly 50 sellers across multiple management layers
  • Strongly preferred: experience selling a multi-product solution
  • Strongly preferred: deep fluency in catalog motion, MRO and plant-floor buyers, and related transformation behaviors
  • Strongly preferred: experience applying AI tools to seller productivity, territory planning, or account prioritization
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% annually, nationally, in-territory and field-facing
  • Ability to travel by air and drive within assigned territory, including customer plant floors and manufacturing environments
