About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own the architecture and technical direction of native iOS applications, with involvement in Android development
Design, develop, and optimize mobile applications connecting Bluetooth/BLE-enabled tools, sensors, and cloud services
Write production-quality code and solve complex challenges involving connectivity, performance, reliability, and scalability
Establish in-house mobile engineering capabilities, including development standards, architecture, testing, and best practices
Collaborate with external development partners, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes
Partner with embedded, cloud, product, and UX teams to deliver seamless connected-product experiences
Make key technical decisions balancing performance, security, maintainability, and speed
Leverage modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted development tools, to improve productivity, testing, and code quality
Travel up to 10%

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software development experience, including extensive hands-on native iOS application development
Strong expertise in Swift and native iOS development, with experience building and supporting complex, production-grade applications
Experience architecting mobile applications and making significant technical design decisions
Experience developing mobile applications that communicate with Bluetooth/BLE devices, sensors, IoT, or connected hardware
Strong understanding of mobile architecture, APIs, cloud integration, performance, security, and testing
Experience providing technical leadership, influencing engineering decisions, and collaborating across teams while remaining hands-on
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Native Android development experience with Kotlin or Java
Experience with AWS, cloud-connected applications, or distributed systems
Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and release management
Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools
Experience with professional tools, connected consumer products, industrial IoT, or field-service technology
4 Year Degree
