About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop profitable new “lead left” client relationships through centers of influence, existing clients and referral sources
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of an extensive portfolio of companies with annual gross sales of at least $10 million, emphasizing customers with revenues of at least $20 million
  • Lead and coordinate with One Bank Partners to create and implement relationship strategies for assigned clients and prospects
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve financial and qualitative goals
  • Work with internal product partners across Treasury Management, Capital Markets and Wealth Management to create tailored relationship strategies
  • Attend community and industry forums, conferences and meetings to expand relationship networks and knowledge of market trends
  • Meet regularly with customers to strengthen trusted-advisor relationships and address business needs
  • Use consultative selling skills, commercial playbook principles and call reporting plans to improve client experience
  • Use the CRM system for client activity tracking, call reports and pipeline management
  • Analyze financial information to determine appropriate credit requests
  • Monitor customer financial performance, condition, industry trends and credit exposure risk
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests and follow portfolio management guidelines
  • Solicit participation in public debt issuance for clients
  • Participate actively in community activities
  • Provide guidance to Commercial Relationship Manager I and II employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years Commercial Banking experience
  • At least 5 years of sales experience preferred
  • Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience required
  • Underwriting experience preferred
  • Proven track record of partnership with investment bankers to provide strategic and capital market advice
  • Proven ability to build new and existing client business and increase revenue
  • Strong business acumen, including detailed analysis, review of financial statements and understanding of accounting principles
  • Thorough knowledge of Commercial Banking, Treasury Management, and alternative lending and financing options
  • Ability to assess client needs, profitability drivers, and corporate/personal life cycle financial solutions
  • Ability to communicate with impact to groups and tailor communication to the audience
  • Ability to build strong internal partnerships for holistic client solutions
  • Proven ability to identify and understand business issues, problems and opportunities and create relevant options
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially face-to-face negotiations
  • Proven ability to work in a team-based sales environment
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software
  • Regional/local travel availability
  • Frequent travel may be required depending on assignment
