About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the assigned department to meet or exceed customer service and productivity goals
  • Resolve issues and process functions in a customer-centric manner
  • Administer Customer Solution-wide programs, communications, and reporting related to recruiting, hiring, training, policies and procedures, coaching, employee engagement, and enterprise initiatives
  • Oversee cross-functional teams of nonexempt and exempt staff and contract employees
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide monthly coaching and guidance
  • Plan, assign, and monitor workflow for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
  • Collaborate with risk partners and external auditors as a subject matter expert
  • Oversee issue management, close process gaps, and remediate accounts as necessary
  • Support third-party vendors and manage workflow to ensure quality, SLA, and SOW compliance
  • Champion change management for strategic initiative implementation
  • Review department and bank processes, procedures, and policies; identify risk exposure
  • Resolve escalated customer and service issues
  • Identify staff training and development needs
  • Prepare annual performance reviews and recommend salary increases and promotions
  • Manage personnel tasks, feedback, talent development, succession planning, recognition, HR policies, training remediation, and hiring recommendations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory/lead experience required
  • Minimum 3 years collections, customer service, operations, or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proven leadership skills, initiative, detail orientation, strong analytical skills, and decisive decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and present a professional image
  • Thorough knowledge of loan collection policies, procedures, and activities
  • General knowledge of collection laws, regulations, principles of credit lending, and risk management
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Ability to pivot based on business need
