About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Investigate, monitor, analyze, and report cases involving potential threats to the Bank
  • Review and analyze system activity and generated alerts in accordance with Financial Crimes Compliance expectations
  • Analyze Financial Crimes and Fraud-related triggers associated with risk activity
  • Escalate Financial Crimes and Fraud matters requiring supervisory engagement
  • Prepare reports and recommend appropriate follow-up
  • Provide Financial Crimes-related support and work with the first line of defense
  • Support internal and external customers as needed
  • Work with business units to understand alerted activity and ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Handle advanced-level alerts and identify and escalate alerts as necessary
  • Assist supervisors with special projects, system-related work, special investigations, or due diligence
  • Contribute to process improvement
  • Incorporate risk management into daily practices
  • Provide guidance, training, consulting, and coaching support to employees
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, Customer Identification Program, and related policies and regulations
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One to three years of specialist experience in compliance, investigative work, or a related field
  • Associate's Degree or commensurate work experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of suspicious activity, money laundering trends, terrorist financing indicators, the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering efforts, USA PATRIOT Act, Fraud, and OFAC
  • Thorough understanding of federal and state laws and regulations pertinent to the position
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multitask detailed items and follow up as needed
  • Proactive in identifying potential concerns and resolving issues
  • Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to make decisions or escalate matters to management
  • Ability to collaborate, initiate action, adapt to change, and accept challenging assignments
  • Ability to communicate with management
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to provide consulting, training, and coaching support to employees
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to adhere to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program requirements
