About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Complete a 4–8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in operations and Sales & Service
- Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customers’ current and future financial needs
- Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products and services and recommend appropriate solutions
- Use CAMP and approved marketing tools to contact customers and set appointments for financial reviews
- Cross-sell to existing customers and conduct outside sales activities, including onsite presentations, business sales calls, and community financial literacy events
- Build relationships with Business Partners and refer customers for holistic financial solutions
- Meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals
- Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referral processes
- Process teller transactions and work as part of platform staff
- Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing
- Participate in Financial Center or Bank Mart opening and closing procedures
- Maintain confidentiality and follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and related policies
- Monitor Retail procedures to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk
- Travel within and outside the affiliate for training as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- College degree or work experience providing transferable skills, or a combination of education and experience
- Experience in the financial industry preferred
- Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers
- Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information
- Professional appearance and verbal/written communication
- Ability to develop working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures and exercise sound judgment
- S.A.F.E. Act registration required at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
- Ability to travel within the affiliate for training
- Scheduling flexibility
- Ability to travel outside the affiliate for classroom training sessions
