About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead pitching and execution of Corporate & Investment Bank transactions
  • Support Managing Directors in day-to-day management and allocation of Associates and Analysts
  • Oversee the group’s modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality analysis and materials
  • Create high-impact pitch materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and relevant software
  • Run transaction execution processes
  • Supervise Associates and Analysts and provide performance feedback and development opportunities
  • Understand and evaluate complex financial models
  • Perform complex financial analysis
  • Develop relationships with peers and senior bankers
  • Manage multiple high-priority opportunities simultaneously
  • Apply credit and corporate finance expertise to CIB transactions
  • Support senior bankers and deliver internal and external presentations
  • Independently interact with constituencies during transaction execution and closing
  • Ensure adherence to risk, compliance, confidentiality, and information barrier requirements
  • Anticipate roadblocks, manage critical paths, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
  • Support origination through idea generation and cross-sell opportunities
  • Identify and mitigate operational, reputational, and compliance risks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of total M&A investment banking experience, including prior Associate-level responsibilities
  • Proven track record working as part of a team to originate and close complex financial transactions
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Strong credit skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior executives inside and outside the organization
  • Expertise in one or more industries
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79, and Series 63 licenses, or ability to maintain/obtain within company policy
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Expertise reviewing complex financial models and valuation work product
  • Ability to translate analytical and credit findings into actionable recommendations
  • Strong client-facing communication skills
  • Familiarity with legal documentation, diligence scopes, and transaction processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to develop and mentor junior talent and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture
  • Fluency with financial databases and platforms such as Bloomberg and Capital IQ
