About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accountable for production, coaching, training, and developing licensed retail bankers
- Handle a large book of clients with complex financial profiles
- Sell the full range of securities products and achieve targeted securities fee income goals
- Design and customize coaching sessions on investment strategies and product solutions
- Conduct solo and joint appointments with bankers
- Identify potential clients and provide solutions aligned with client needs and financial goals
- Maintain strong relationships and credibility with internal and external clients
- Manage risk by following policies, procedures, and the Bank's risk appetite
- Plan and conduct individual and group coaching sessions
- Develop and conduct client meetings to review accounts and close sales
- Handle daily client needs, prioritize and delegate tasks, and resolve problems
- Conduct post-appointment follow-up and develop referrals
- Manage sales planning for self and team to achieve goals and financial results
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of financial products through self-study, periodicals, and coursework
- Prepare internal sales-tracking reports
- Coordinate daily with the team to complete accountabilities accurately
- Conduct internal and external seminars for business development and growth
- Introduce clients to other Fifth Third Bank services, including loans, estate planning, and deposits
- Coach and mentor licensed bank employees
- Equip licensed bankers with tools and skills for success
- Guide progress toward team goals and recognize achievement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior Brokerage Industry Experience
- Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 63 and 65, required
- Appropriate state-required insurance licenses required, with an exception for 7 and 63 in Michigan and Ohio
- Variable Annuity license required
- Motivated by commission sales, recognition programs, and internal sales competition
- Ability to motivate others in a team environment
- Highly developed coaching and teaching skills
- Ability to communicate complex products and processes
- Demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex financial concepts
- Proven experience building strong internal and external client relationships
- Highly developed knowledge of the securities business, investment products, and financial solutions
- Highly developed sales and presentation skills
- Travel required within assigned territory
