About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Accountable for production, coaching, training, and development of licensed retail bankers
- Handle a large book of clients with complex financial profiles
- Sell the full range of securities products and achieve targeted securities fee-income goals
- Design and customize coaching sessions on investment strategies and product solutions
- Conduct solo and joint appointments with bankers
- Identify potential clients and provide solutions aligned with client needs and financial goals
- Maintain strong relationships and credibility with internal and external clients
- Achieve sales goals while serving clients’ best interests
- Conduct individual and group coaching sessions
- Review existing accounts and close sales individually and jointly with licensed bankers
- Handle daily client needs and problems; prioritize and delegate tasks
- Follow up after appointments to maintain relationships and develop referrals
- Manage sales planning for self and team
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of financial products through self-study, periodicals, and coursework
- Prepare internal sales-tracking reports
- Coordinate daily with the team to complete accountabilities accurately
- Conduct internal and external seminars focused on business development and growth
- Introduce other Fifth Third Bank services, including loans, estate planning, and deposits
- Coach and mentor licensed bank employees
- Equip licensed bankers with tools and skills for success
- Guide team progress toward established goals and recognize goal achievement
- Identify, assess, manage, monitor, and report risks while operating within the Bank’s risk appetite
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior brokerage industry experience
- Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 63 and Series 65
- Appropriate state-required insurance licenses
- Variable Annuity license
- Ability to motivate others in a team environment
- Highly developed coaching and teaching skills
- Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly
- Proven experience building strong internal and external client relationships
- Highly developed knowledge of the securities business, investment products, and financial solutions
- Highly developed sales and presentation skills
- Ability to delegate tasks and follow through
- Travel within the assigned territory
- Motivated by commission sales, recognition programs, and internal sales competition
