About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 4-8 week onboarding and education program with rotations in Operations and Sales & Service
  • Promote deposits, loans, fee-based services and customer retention
  • Sell banking products and services and provide specialized customer care
  • Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to identify customer financial needs
  • Maintain knowledge of Retail consumer and small business products and recommend solutions
  • Use CAMP and approved marketing tools to contact customers and set financial review appointments
  • Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities
  • Build relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment business partners and make referrals
  • Meet or exceed customer experience and production goals
  • Provide guidance to CSRs on sales and referrals
  • Answer customer questions, own customer issues and maintain confidentiality
  • Follow policies, procedures and the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing
  • Participate in Financial Center or Bank Mart opening and closing
  • Monitor Retail procedures to mitigate fraud and risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills or combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Ability to develop comfort level with sales activities to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers
  • Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information
  • Professional appearance and verbal/written communication
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Ability to travel within the affiliate for training
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Travel outside of the affiliate for classroom training sessions
