About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete a 4–8 week onboarding and education program with Operations and Sales & Service rotations
  • Become certified to perform within the Retail Personal Banker job family
  • Sell banking products and services including deposits, loans and fee-based services
  • Build customer relationships through consultative sales and service
  • Conduct Financial Needs Assessments and maintain customer profiles
  • Recommend Retail consumer and small business products and services
  • Use CAMP and approved marketing tools to contact customers and set financial review appointments
  • Cross-sell to existing customers and participate in outside sales activities
  • Establish relationships with Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment partners and make referrals
  • Meet customer experience and production goals and support revenue growth
  • Guide CSRs on sales and referral processes
  • Address customer questions and own customer issues
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with conduct, ethics, risk and product-servicing policies
  • Participate in consumer loan and bankcard processes from application through closing
  • Participate in Financial Center or Bank Mart opening and closing processes
  • Monitor procedures intended to mitigate fraud and risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or work experience providing transferrable skills or combination of education and experience
  • Experience in the financial industry preferred
  • Ability to develop comfort with sales activities to acquire new consumer household and small business customers and/or cross-sell to established customers
  • Understanding of advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information
  • Professional appearance and verbal/written communication
  • Ability to develop working knowledge of Retail policies and procedures
  • S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
  • Ability to travel within the affiliate for training
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • Ability to travel outside of the affiliate for classroom training
