About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire, grow and retain bank customers, focusing on Preferred Program customers and mass affluent prospects
  • Proactively contact and service customers regarding bank products
  • Conduct needs-based assessments of prospective and existing clients
  • Engage internal partners to fulfill client financial needs and increase referrals
  • Use and promote the Retail Consultative Sales process and prescribed tools
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships through consultative sales and service
  • Simplify and communicate complex financial concepts
  • Participate in financial center huddles and meetings
  • Guide the Financial Center team in referral and sales processes, especially for Preferred customers
  • Maintain current knowledge of the bank’s products and services
  • Meet or exceed investment sales and referral goals in partnership with the Investment Executive
  • Contact customers and prospects through financial-center interactions, telemarketing, seminars and community events
  • Monitor business and economic activity to anticipate customer needs and provide financial solutions
  • Manage customer wealth across current and next generations
  • Identify, assess, manage, monitor and report risks while following bank policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Pass consultative selling skills certification and complete ongoing educational requirements
  • Series SIE, 6, 63 and insurance licenses required
  • Series 65 must be obtained within 90 calendar days of hire for external hires, with a maximum of two attempts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a revenue-producing book of business in the mass affluent segment
  • Ability to present a professional image when interacting with the public
  • Ability to travel locally between one or more financial centers
  • SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through NMLS
