About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire, grow and retain bank customers, focusing on Preferred Program customers and mass affluent prospects
  • Proactively contact and service customers in the sales and service of bank products
  • Conduct needs-based assessments of prospective and existing clients
  • Engage internal partners to fulfill client financial needs and increase referral opportunities
  • Use and promote the Retail Consultative Sales process and prescribed tools
  • Support financial center referral and sales activity
  • Retain and grow current and next-generation wealth
  • Execute retail strategies and tactics to increase Preferred Program households and fulfill customer needs
  • Build deep customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
  • Simplify and communicate complex financial concepts
  • Participate in financial center huddles and meetings and provide guidance to the Financial Center team
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, services, business activity and the economic environment
  • Meet or exceed investment sales and referral goals in partnership with the Investment Executive
  • Initiate and maintain customer and prospect contact through financial-center interaction, telemarketing, seminars and community events
  • Identify and proactively provide solutions for current and future financial needs
  • Identify, assess, manage, monitor and report risks while following bank policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Experience in a sales environment
  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Pass consultative selling skills certification and complete ongoing educational requirements
  • Series SIE, 6, 63 and insurance licenses required
  • Series 65 must be obtained within 90 calendar days of hire for external hires, with a maximum of two attempts
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a revenue-producing book of business in the mass affluent segment
  • Ability to present a professional image when interacting with the public
  • Ability to work with one or more financial centers, requiring some local travel
  • SAFE Act registration required at employment through NMLS
  • Ability to work in a normal office environment with extended computer-screen viewing
  • Occasional local and overnight travel as required
