About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work with existing accounts and hunt and qualify new prospects in a defined territory.
  • Spend at least 50% of the role in the field meeting prospects and clients.
  • Work directly with owners, finance managers and sales teams of Home Improvement and Home Services businesses.
  • Identify new business opportunities and build relationships with key external and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Conduct market research on emerging trends, opportunities and the competitive landscape.
  • Create actionable sales plans targeting new dealers and driving origination.
  • Meet and exceed performance expectations and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Pursue opportunities through networking, partnerships and industry events.
  • Build relationships with clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close high-value dealers to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Identify improvement areas and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development and internal teams.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences.
  • Execute regular training and coaching sessions with merchants.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of experience with B2B hands-on direct sales and relationship management.
  • Experience in consumer financing, SaaS, or home improvement will be considered a strong asset.
  • Experience using CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ideally, you are located in Central Ontario, Canada (e.g., Barrie, Newmarket, Vaughan, North York, Scarborough, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a car.
