About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own Firecrawl's brand positioning end to end, including homepage messaging, competitive comparisons, and LLM recommendations
  • Write and ship launch copy, product announcements, website updates, and social posts for a technical audience
  • Grow and manage Firecrawl's presence on X and LinkedIn
  • Build a developer community and establish a clear point of view
  • Run competitive analysis and translate findings into differentiated messaging
  • Partner directly with founders and product to align brand with roadmap and go-to-market priorities
  • Shape the content calendar and manage publishing cadence across channels
  • Improve discoverability beyond SEO, including how LLMs surface and recommend Firecrawl
  • Own real brand work during the paid work trial, such as a positioning rewrite, launch brief, or social content sprint

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years owning brand at a developer-facing or technical product company
  • Experience building brand for a developer-facing product
  • Understanding of how developers evaluate, distrust, share, and adopt tools
  • Strong short-form, sharp, opinionated copywriting ability
  • Experience driving organic growth for a technical product
  • Experience improving search visibility and social reach, with results verifiable in Ahrefs
  • Ability to work directly with founders without a brand committee or approval chain
  • Understanding of LLMs as a distribution and discoverability channel
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be based in the Bay Area or willing to relocate before the start date
  • Must work onsite at SF HQ 3+ days per week
