Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the main Firecrawl repository end to end
  • Triage issues, review pull requests, cut releases, and write documentation
  • Keep the self-hosting experience easy and reliable
  • Build new context primitives, starting with anydoc, the document parsing engine
  • Make scope and API design decisions for primitives
  • Improve open-source adoption and project growth
  • Ship code and review pull requests weekly
  • Participate in repository-maintenance technical discussions and a paid work trial on an open-source repository

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Real open source track record maintaining a popular repository or making significant contributions
  • Experience with self-hosting and making repositories easy to clone, run, and maintain
  • Ability to own a repository end to end, including issue triage, PR reviews, releases, and documentation
  • Experience building parsers, crawlers, browser tooling, or developer libraries
  • Understanding of open-source adoption and project growth
  • High agency and ability to make scope, API design, and merge decisions
  • Often a maintainer, ex-founder, early startup engineer, or builder with impressive public work
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada
  • Must be based in the Bay Area or Greater Toronto Area, or willing to relocate before the start date
  • Must submit a resume, LinkedIn profile, GitHub profile, and a link to something built or maintained
