About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the first line of technical support across channels, focusing on high-value and enterprise accounts
  • Diagnose API errors, failed scrapes and crawls, blocked sites, authentication issues, rate limits, and unexpected output
  • Reproduce issues, escalate confirmed bugs with clear reproduction steps and context, and follow through with customers
  • Review customer workflows and integration plans and recommend reliability improvements
  • Triage queues across Slack, email, and chat, prioritizing urgent issues and deciding when human support is needed
  • Understand underlying customer goals and weigh workarounds against documentation or product changes
  • Advocate for customers with Product and Engineering and influence bug-fix and API-improvement priorities
  • Automate repeated questions and manual steps using AI triage, drafted replies, routing, enrichment, and alerts
  • Build lightweight internal debugging scripts, dashboards, and agents
  • Improve AI support-agent knowledge, review errors, and determine human escalation points
  • Write troubleshooting guides, runbooks, and documentation fixes
  • Coordinate support handoffs across time zones and share insights with Engineering, Product, and Growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Strong fundamentals in APIs, HTTP, and debugging
  • Ability to write TypeScript or Python
  • Experience building an automation or internal tool that removed real manual work
  • Daily use of Claude, Cursor, agents, and MCP servers
  • Ability to diagnose complex API issues, integrations, and technical customer problems
  • Ability to explain technical ideas clearly and ask diagnostic questions
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage customer escalations, bug reproductions, and automation projects
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area or Greater Toronto Area before starting
  • Bonus: technical customer-facing role or experience supporting APIs, SDKs, or developer tools
  • Bonus: knowledge of web scraping, browsers, proxies, web internals, Firecrawl or similar platforms, or production LLM workflows
