About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bring story, purpose, vision, and business context into technical learning experiences
  • Conduct learning needs analyses to identify performance gaps, learner needs, business requirements, and appropriate solutions
  • Design and develop learner-centered solutions across eLearning, self-paced learning, digital adoption, instructor-led training, virtual training, and performance support
  • Apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles
  • Partner with SMEs, stakeholders, product teams, trainers, and cross-functional partners
  • Translate complex processes, systems, and technical concepts into clear learning experiences
  • Develop learning objectives, course outlines, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant materials, activities, assessments, knowledge checks, and supporting resources
  • Design scenarios, simulations, practice opportunities, and knowledge checks
  • Assist with digital learning and in-app performance support using platforms such as Whatfix
  • Build presentations, eLearning courses, job aids, infographics, videos, and other instructional assets
  • Manage instructional design projects from intake through implementation, including discovery, design, development, review, revisions, QA, and deployment
  • Conduct quality assurance and learning reviews
  • Analyze learner feedback, engagement data, assessment results, and performance insights
  • Maintain and update learning solutions as systems, processes, products, and business needs evolve
  • Leverage AI tools to improve instructional design and content development efficiency, scalability, and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4–7 years of experience designing and developing learning content for adult learners in a corporate or commercial environment
  • Experience designing learning solutions for adult learners across multiple delivery methods
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex, technical, or process-heavy information into clear and engaging learning experiences
  • Working knowledge of instructional design principles, including ADDIE, Bloom’s, ARCS, and SCARF
  • Experience designing system or software training and supporting learners through technology or process change
  • Experience with some of Whatfix or other Digital Adoption Platforms, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, TechSmith Camtasia/Snagit, and AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot
  • Ability to create visually appealing, engaging, and learner-friendly materials
  • Ability to manage work, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with Whatfix, Amplitude, Pendo, or similar guided learning technologies preferred
  • Familiarity with video or motion elements preferred but not required
