About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Service mortgage accounts to ensure all bankruptcy activities comply with state and federal laws and investor, insurer, agency, and company guidelines
  • Review files to ensure bankruptcy time frames are met
  • Manage bankruptcy proceedings on assigned cases by interacting with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other involved parties
  • Monitor bankruptcy proceedings, records, time frames, and system/database activities
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and telephone calls from internal and external partners
  • Audit accounts for expense compliance and proper application to the system of record
  • Research questionable loan items, including payment application and notification
  • Manage exception reporting to minimize risk

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of directly related experience
  • Working knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of bankruptcy
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict guidelines and procedures
  • GSE and Government experience preferred
  • MSP and LoanSphere experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet and Microsoft Outlook preferred
