About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements
  • Act as a neutral liaison between buyers, sellers, lenders, and other file parties
  • Adhere to company policy and monitor and mitigate company risk
  • Account for and disburse funds according to contract terms and company policy
  • Prepare regular escrow account status reports for transaction parties
  • Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents
  • Prepare legal documents for sale closures
  • Record and file documents
  • Prepare and distribute final closing statements and title documents
  • Handle predominantly mail-in closings
  • Provide customer service and support in a fast-paced setting

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-4 years of escrow-related experience
  • Experience directly handling escrow transactions
  • Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; ability to adjust to new workflows
  • Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal teams and external customers
  • Problem-solving, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to navigate internal and external resources
  • Ability to contribute effectively to a team
  • Ability to guide and support future talent learning the business
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and ability to adapt quickly to new software applications and technologies
  • Valid licensing/certification as required by applicable state
  • High school diploma or equivalent
