About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist Reverse Exchange Officers with opening, processing, and closing 1031 tax-deferred exchanges
  • Develop proficiency in 1031 rules and answer customer questions
  • Handle inquiry calls
  • Review purchase agreements and title reports
  • Prepare exchange documentation for relinquished and replacement property closings and parking transactions
  • Follow company procedures and comply with Accounting Policy
  • Monitor time deadlines and closing dates
  • Set up and dissolve LLCs in all 50 states
  • Handle accounting for exchange files
  • Manage exchange processes in a timely manner
  • Review estimated closing statements for approval
  • Handle acceptance and disbursement of funds in accordance with 1031 rules
  • Collect fee income and final signed documentation
  • Troubleshoot and manage customers
  • Follow up with existing and potential clients to increase business
  • Cooperate with exchange officers, managers, and sales representatives to develop business
  • Perform other duties requested by the exchange officer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of administrative experience
  • Experience in real estate or law, such as an escrow officer or assistant, preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of, and/or willingness to learn, fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of the department/field
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented approach to tasks
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with team members
