About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive the vision and delivery of innovative new products
- Develop, define, maintain and communicate the product strategy and roadmap
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements
- Conduct market research to identify user needs for new products
- Prioritize product opportunities using research criteria and requirements
- Define high-level customer requirements for the customer experience, including product features, target markets, and pricing
- Understand and validate user needs using Lean and UX design principles
- Create and use wireframes to convey new feature ideas
- Develop product and feature success metrics and determine enhancements
- Lead and participate in planning meetings and advise on product direction
- Collaborate with customers, team members, and outside influencers to understand products and developing needs
- Execute the product roadmap by directing product development priorities and incorporating market, usage, competitive, and research insights into releases
- Assess market competition, identify product gaps, address competitive threats, and gain competitive advantage
- Troubleshoot complex problems and identify solutions
- Provide functional advice or training to less experienced team members; may manage a team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5-7 years’ directly related experience in product or services development
- Strong understanding and abilities related to Excel and Visio (or comparable)
- Experience in product development, requirements and risk analysis, pricing, planning, competitive analysis, and financial planning and strategy
- Strong understanding of Agile, Lean and UX Principles
- Knowledge of consumer marketing analytics
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to large audiences and clients
- Sound decision making, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build relationships and ensure cooperation across the organization
- Business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, influence outcomes and change, and negotiate for resources
- Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects
- Ability to organize own work, set and meet timelines
- Ability to collaboratively engage with leaders to create, identify, and implement solutions
- Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs
