About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform general and mid-level maintenance duties to ensure properties and premises meet or exceed corporate appearance standards and are ready for business
  • Use power tools and hand tools for repair and maintenance work
  • Respond to work orders through the online system by accepting, communicating findings, and closing work orders
  • Follow safety standards
  • Perform painting and light to moderate plumbing, electrical, roof repair, and carpentry work
  • Replace locks, glass, lighting fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, and air conditioner filters
  • Check, lubricate, clean, and perform minor repairs on equipment and machines
  • Perform light assembly work
  • Assist with removal and destruction of designated bank records
  • Remove dirt, debris, snow, and ice from sidewalks, parking lots, and drives
  • Mow grass, trim shrubs, and maintain landscaped areas and flower beds
  • Assist with meeting-room setup and cleaning
  • Move furniture and equipment as needed
  • Maintain vehicles assigned to the maintenance department
  • Obtain bids for specified supplies and place orders as directed, including estimating material and labor costs
  • Inspect banking facilities and properties for inventory, maintenance, and repair
  • Operate under minimal supervision and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Meet applicable banking compliance requirements and First Financial Bank policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a high school degree
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of building and equipment maintenance/repair techniques
  • Ability to use power tools and hand tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of building electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to perform light to moderate assembly, machine repair, and general maintenance duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with bank associates and third-party contractors
  • Ability to monitor work performed by contractors
  • Ability to work in a semi-standardized environment with initiative
  • Visual attention, dexterity, and coordination for operating tools, equipment, and a motor vehicle
  • Basic computer skills for online work orders and emails
  • Good disposition, friendly nature, poise, and diplomacy when interfacing with associates, tenants, and landlords
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift/move up to 100 pounds, use stairs or a ladder, and meet specified vision requirements
