About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio and full book of existing client accounts
- Administer personal trust accounts and interpret trust agreements and related documents
- Assist with estate administration, including marshalling and distributing assets and resolving estate claims
- Oversee onboarding and termination of accounts
- Administer unique and special assets, including valuations, inspections, and due diligence
- Identify, assess, and manage legal, financial, and reputational risks
- Work with clients and Wealth Advisors to establish financial and estate plans
- Coordinate with legal and tax professionals on trust documentation and tax filings
- Review account financial and tax status, risk tolerances, investment objectives, and cash flow needs
- Conduct regular trust account reviews for compliance
- Support Wealth Advisors with business development and client relationship expansion
- Service accounts and complete account service calls
- Provide customer service and respond to client inquiries and requests
- Maintain accurate electronic records of holdings, transactions, and documentation
- Prepare and present account status updates to clients and senior management
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Audit departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years experience in trust administration, estate planning or related field
- Ability to manage a complex mix of Agencies, IRAs and Trust accounts in a book of at least 150-225 and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers
- Ability to prioritize workload and remain adaptable under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions, correspondence, policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
- Ability to interpret policy and procedure manuals accurately
- Ability to write complex correspondence and professional documentation
- Ability to present information effectively to customers, clients, and colleagues
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to resolve problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations
- Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and trust and estate planning
- Familiarity with trust and estate laws, tax regulations, and legal documentation
- Ability to explain complex financial and legal concepts to clients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Adherence to the highest ethical standards
- Regular and predictable attendance required
- Typical work hours: M-F (8-5)
