About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive new business development and expand revenue opportunities for the Court Reporting division
- Proactively pursue prospective clients while growing and retaining an existing book of business
- Manage and strengthen client relationships across key accounts throughout the full account development cycle
- Collaborate with local Account Managers, Sales Representatives, and Regional Managers across all service sectors
- Secure new and build upon existing attorney and law firm clients for deposition support services
- Offer and conduct attorney continuing legal education opportunities
- Identify viable client prospects through directories, contact lists, databases, leads, internet resources, and personal networking
- Maintain accurate account and client information in the CRM, including account management, opportunity identification, and forecasting
- Recognize and expand on market conditions and the discovery phase of litigation
- Attend industry-related functions for networking and product knowledge
- Maintain confidentiality regarding internal, external, and other necessary matters
- Meet or exceed sales goals and objectives set by the EVP of Sales and Regional Manager
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports as directed by the EVP of Sales and Regional Manager
- Spend approximately 75% of time client-facing and 25% in inside sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in business management, administration, or related field and a minimum of 5 years professional solutions-based outside sales experience in fast-paced, multifaceted attorney services and/or legal environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Successful track record in developing and executing strategic business development action plans within a prescribed territory and generating SARG (same account revenue growth) from existing client base by leveraging cross-selling opportunities and other best practices
- Experience qualifying new business by identifying and initiating contact with decision-makers and securing initial client visits with qualified prospects
- Experience converting prospects into new clients and growing additional business with existing clients
- Exceptional customer service and business solutions skills
- Results-driven, improvement-focused, action-oriented self-starter able to handle various responsibilities simultaneously
- Ability to travel within the designated territory and represent First Legal at social networking events
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (3 points or less)
- Valid auto insurance, checked quarterly
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm
- Must be based in San Diego and work in the field 2-3 times per week
