Embed with bank architecture, infrastructure, and product teams to understand landscapes, pain points, and modernization goals
Translate business needs into technical requirements
Design future-state bank architecture
Build trusted relationships with bank engineering and architecture leadership
Translate deployment patterns, friction points, and unmet needs into product requirements and platform improvements
Develop proofs of concept and bank use cases end to end
Connect upstream and downstream systems using durable, production-grade integration patterns
Build and maintain high-performance data pipelines
Run performance tests and validate scale, resilience, and failover behavior
Support sales through technical demos, architecture workshops, and platform education
Travel to client sites as needed, expected 25–50% depending on engagement phase
Ship production software for Tier-1 financial institutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven track record shipping robust, scalable infrastructure in Go or similar systems languages (Rust, Java)
Deep experience with Kafka, concurrency patterns, event-driven architectures, and multi-region databases
Strong background in AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience with SRE principles, infrastructure as code, and Kubernetes/OpenShift
Experience building data-intensive systems and distributed data pipelines
Ability to integrate AI into workflow and stay current on LLM capabilities and agentic development patterns
4+ years in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Architect, Consultant, or Software Engineer
Knowledge of financial transaction flows, core banking systems, or banking technology preferred
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and create processes where none exist
Ownership mindset and accountability for outcomes
Versatility across coding, architecture design, and technical workshops
