About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acquire, structure, and negotiate contracts for Professional Services and Non-Employee categories
  • Serve as a sourcing subject matter expert and partner with business leaders to optimize financial and operational benefits
  • Work with risk managers to mitigate third-party relationship risks
  • Establish and implement company policies and procedures for internal purchases
  • Work with suppliers to secure the best pricing while reducing incidental and extraneous costs
  • Lead sourcing engagements with cross-functional internal teams, including needs analysis, market analysis, competitive intelligence, RFI/RFP development, cost and proposal analysis, deal structuring, contract negotiation, and implementation development
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term sourcing category strategies
  • Execute multiple medium- to high-risk and complex projects concurrently
  • Develop and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
  • Establish systems, procedures, supplier requirements, and quality standards
  • Review, analyze, and monitor supplier contract performance and compliance
  • Negotiate and coordinate agreement additions, deletions, and modifications
  • Track and analyze vendor spend and performance
  • Evaluate products based on user requirements and ensure purchases align with standards and strategy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing or vendor management functions and procedures
  • Knowledge of client or vendor relations
  • Knowledge of project management methods and techniques
  • Proficiency to supervise, lead and manage staff members effectively
  • Good working knowledge of legal and contracting requirements
  • Ability to understand and analyze financial data to support source selection decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences at various organizational levels
  • Excellent problem-solving, team, and time-management skills while managing multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency in evaluating subordinate performance and providing development or corrective-discipline counsel
  • Proficiency in projecting future expenses based on cost-effectiveness analysis of past expenditures
  • Proficiency in operating independently
  • For positions located in the US, conditional offers require a drug test
