About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead large-scale debit processing and card management projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives
- Partner with clients, product teams, technology teams, operations, and third-party stakeholders to deliver onboarding and conversion programs for debit processing customers
- Manage implementation activities across card management applications, authorization processing, settlement processes, network connectivity, card issuance support, and operational workflows
- Develop and maintain project plans while managing risks, dependencies, resources, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting
- Mentor and/or train junior project managers and support staff
- Help clients adopt and expand payment solutions supporting millions of transactions
- Drive innovation, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver strategic initiatives across the debit payments ecosystem
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, business administration or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- At least 8 years of experience within the debit payments ecosystem, including debit/card processing, transaction authorization, network interfaces, card lifecycle management, and technology solutions
- Experience implementing or managing card management applications and supporting end-to-end client onboarding, conversions, or platform migrations
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and client stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, risk management practices, budget oversight, and executive-level stakeholder communication
- Experience with debit network integrations, fraud programs, ATM and EFT transaction processing, card issuance platforms, or digital payment solutions
- Familiarity with payment industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends impacting debit and card processing services
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and advanced skills with project management software are preferred
