Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direction and hands-on leadership for mid to large-scale, complex financial technology projects and initiatives from initiation through delivery and closeout
Lead delivery across multiple business segments and shared-service functions under commercial and contractual commitments and constraints
Maintain alignment across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk and resources
Strengthen delivery capability through governance, sound decision-making, continuous improvement and mentoring of project managers
Lead and deliver complex global projects and programs across the full project lifecycle
Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners to achieve strategic business objectives
Gather, analyze, and validate business requirements
Translate requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions and implementation strategies
Establish and maintain project and program baselines
Ensure governance, monitoring, and control to deliver within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters
Develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive sponsors
Apply project and program management practices, frameworks, and methodologies
Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams
Manage resource planning, prioritization, communications, reporting, risk and issue management, stakeholder engagement, and change control

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, MIS, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience
Minimum 4+ years of project or program management experience
Proven track record of delivering complex IT or financial technology projects throughout the full project lifecycle
Strong software implementation experience
Solid understanding of application development methodologies and the software development lifecycle
Experience ideally within banking, payments, or financial services environments
Ability to lead multinational, virtual, and cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements in fast-paced environments
Advanced project management capabilities, including planning, estimation, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem solving
Experience managing projects under commercial and contractual constraints
Responsibility for project governance, financial management, reporting, corrective actions, and delivery outcomes aligned to business objectives
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, senior sponsors, internal teams, and external partners
Experience creating and maintaining project management artifacts, including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, dashboards, and governance documentation
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Ability to manage situations of varying complexity and risk
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and related project delivery tools
Flexibility to travel and collaborate with global clients and teams across different time zones
PMI PMP, PRINCE2 or an equivalent recognised project management certification is an added bonus
Direct experience delivering card management, payment processing or banking technology implementations is an added bonus
Experience delivering complex customisations, new modules, framework enhancements or solutions in new countries or locations is an added bonus
Payments industry experience is an added bonus
