About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the technical vision, long-term architecture, and engineering roadmap for DNA Platforms
Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making for complex, multi-team initiatives
Design scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable software platforms using distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architecture patterns
Guide modernization efforts, platform engineering practices, automation, tooling, and CI/CD adoption
Establish engineering standards, design principles, technical governance, and measurable practices for software quality, observability, performance, reliability, and security
Manage, coach, and develop engineers and engineering managers through regular feedback, technical guidance, and performance conversations
Lead technical forums, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing practices across geographically distributed teams
Partner with engineering leaders, product leaders, architects, and business stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges across multiple teams
Influence engineering strategy through technical leadership rather than direct management authority
Travel occasionally, up to 10%

Requirements

What you’ll need

12+ years of experience in software engineering, including architecture and delivery of large-scale enterprise platforms
8+ years of experience managing and developing teams in engineering, architecture, or platform technology functions
10+ years of experience designing distributed systems, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and modern software delivery practices
8+ years of experience applying security, reliability, performance, scalability, observability, and maintainability principles to production systems
Experience influencing engineering strategy, technical standards, and delivery decisions across multiple teams or organizational boundaries
Experience with DevSecOps, site reliability engineering practices, automation, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Experience with financial technology, banking, payments, risk, or fraud platforms
Experience leading platform modernization, cloud adoption, or developer productivity initiatives
Knowledge of AI-assisted development, platform engineering, and engineering metrics
Experience working with geographically distributed engineering organizations
Ability to use a computer and audio equipment
