About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define end-to-end SAP finance architecture across FICO and integrations with SD, MM, PTP, OTC, BW, BPC, and related enterprise platforms
Design and implement Agentic AI solutions for SAP Finance processes
Identify Agentic AI opportunities across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Collections, Dispute Management, Treasury, and Financial Reporting
Partner with business stakeholders, directors, vice presidents, and technical leads to define solution approaches, prioritize initiatives, and execute technical projects
Lead cross-module ERP design decisions and own SAP finance integration patterns, solution standards, and application design
Analyze current-state processes and recommend future-state designs improving efficiency, controls, reporting, and integration
Develop functional specifications, review technical solutions, and guide development teams through build, test, and deployment
Diagnose defects, analyze root causes, and resolve production support issues through configuration changes, SAP Note analysis, defect remediation, and enhancements
Support pack implementations and system upgrades by assessing impacts and validating functionality
Plan and coordinate system integration testing and support user acceptance testing
Track risks, issues, SLA commitments, and delivery progress; communicate status to project teams and stakeholders
Mentor SAP technical and business team members
Collaborate with business systems leaders on technology roadmap improvements for financial systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of experience in SAP Finance and Accounting solution design, configuration, and support across enterprise SAP environments
10+ years of experience configuring SAP FICO capabilities, including General Ledger, Controlling, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and Profitability Analysis
8+ years of experience leading cross-functional SAP integration design with SD, MM, PTP, OTC, BW, or BPC
8+ years of experience supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, or large-scale transformation programs across finance functions
10+ years of experience developing functional specifications, supporting testing, and resolving production issues through configuration, SAP Notes, and collaboration with development teams
3+ full life cycle SAP implementations in finance-focused roles with responsibility for design, configuration, testing, and deployment
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI agents, or intelligent workflow automation
Experience identifying business processes suitable for AI automation and translating them into AI use cases
Understanding of LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, enterprise knowledge grounding, APIs, and agent-based architectures
Understanding of security, financial controls, authorization, auditability, data privacy, and responsible AI requirements
Experience communicating complex technical and functional requirements to business stakeholders, implementation teams, and cross-functional partners
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization
Temporary visas including F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, and TN, and candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future, are not considered
Preferred: 4+ years of experience in an SAP architect role supporting enterprise finance transformation
Preferred: Experience implementing Agentic AI within SAP FICO or Finance processes
Preferred: Experience with SAP BTP, SAP Fiori, APIs, integration services, SAP extensibility patterns, SAP Joule, Microsoft Copilot/GitHub Copilot, SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, SAC, RAG, vector search, knowledge graphs, or relevant certifications
