About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work in an application design and development leadership role on the Finxact Core as a Service platform
Build backend services and APIs in Golang
Create new software and enhance existing software for banking and financial institution services
Work with business analysts, engineers, system users, and partners to understand and implement application requirements
Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications supporting Fiserv’s business goals
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Perform coding, testing, and debugging to ensure application performance and reliability
Maintain and improve existing codebases
Lead peer review processes
Improve test coverage and overall system quality
Lead and mentor other developers, providing technical guidance and promoting programming best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in software development
3+ years of experience in Golang, Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages
3+ years of experience with SQL databases
3+ years of experience with RESTful services, Swagger, JSON data interchange, and Git
3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization
Candidates requiring current or future sponsorship will not be considered
Experience with payments such as ACH, Fedwire, RTP, cards, ISO 20022, or ISO 8583 is advantageous
Familiarity with Golang is advantageous
Familiarity with AI-driven development practices is advantageous
Familiarity with microservices development strategies and best practices is advantageous
Must be willing to work under deadlines and be detail-oriented
