About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, monitor, and optimize SAP workloads running on Microsoft Azure IaaS, including Azure virtual machines, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Storage services
Install, configure, patch, and support SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, BW, BPC, and connected peripheral systems
Manage SAP HANA database backup and recovery, performance tuning, memory allocation, CPU utilization, and database health
Execute system refreshes, client copies, kernel upgrades, SPS applications, and transport management
Configure and support SAP Solution Manager 7.2, including ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring, RCA, EWA, ITSM integration, and solution documentation
Support SAP CALM configuration and governance for SAP Rise and on-premises environments
Monitor and resolve system bottlenecks, lock entries, short dumps, transport failures, and application performance issues
Partner with infrastructure and security teams on high availability, disaster recovery, audit readiness, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and role-based access controls
Provide technical support across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, BW, BPC, OpenText, BODS, GRC, PI/PO, Redwood, and Vertex environments
Create and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, and support standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration supporting enterprise SAP environments, including SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, BW, BPC, and related SAP platforms
4+ years of experience supporting SAP environments hosted on Microsoft Azure, including Azure IaaS, Azure virtual machines, storage services, and cloud operations
4+ years of experience administering SAP HANA databases, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, system monitoring, and SQL optimization
4+ years of experience configuring and supporting SAP Solution Manager 7.2 components, including ChaRM, Technical Monitoring, Business Process Monitoring, and RCA
4+ years of experience with Linux or Unix administration using RHEL, SLES, shell scripting, and operating system-level troubleshooting
4+ years of experience supporting SAP transport management, patching, kernel upgrades, system refreshes, client copies, and production support in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments
Experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Site Recovery, HANA System Replication, or equivalent technologies
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization required
Candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered
Preferred: 10+ years of SAP Basis administration experience
Preferred: 3+ years configuring SAP CALM for SAP Rise and on-premises integrations
Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure for SAP Workloads Specialty, SAP Certified Technology Associate certifications, or equivalent validated technical certification
Preferred experience with SAP BTP, OpenText, SAP Data Services, GRC, PI/PO, Redwood job scheduler, or Vertex
