About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive revenue growth by developing customer, vendor, and channel relationships
  • Manage the full business-development lifecycle from prospecting and discovery through solution development, vendor coordination, proposals, negotiation, and implementation handoff
  • Sell vendor-driven technology solutions and services to achieve Monthly Recurring Revenue targets
  • Build and maintain a pipeline across managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, hardware, software, telecommunications, connectivity, unified communications, contact centers, and SD-WAN
  • Engage prospective and existing customers to understand business needs, technology environments, technical requirements, and challenges
  • Identify and position appropriate vendor solutions
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, prospecting, and follow-up activities
  • Achieve meeting and First-Time Appointment targets
  • Collaborate with engineers, technical teams, Sales, and vendor partners to scope and develop solutions
  • Develop and submit solution-based proposals and quotes
  • Maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, master agents, and strategic partners
  • Identify upgrades, infrastructure modernization, telecommunications, connectivity, contact center, and related service opportunities within existing customer environments
  • Complete sales, technical, vendor, and professional development training
  • Present technical capabilities, business value, costs, and benefits using a consultative approach
  • Maintain vendor documentation, quotes, deal registrations, commissions/payouts, and opportunity information
  • Maintain customer, vendor, quote, pipeline, and sales activity in HubSpot, ConnectWise, and other designated systems
  • Monitor opportunities, conversion activity, vendor performance, and market trends and provide leadership insights
  • Facilitate handoff of closed opportunities to Service or implementation teams and support implementation transitions
  • Represent the company at vendor events, conferences, trade shows, networking events, and other business-development activities
  • Document workflows and role-specific knowledge through approved SOPs and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in vendor management, account management, business development, technology sales, or a related customer-facing role
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining productive business relationships with vendors, customers, and/or strategic partners
  • Experience developing sales pipelines, identifying business opportunities, and supporting opportunities throughout the sales cycle
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices, including opportunity and pipeline management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other business productivity tools
  • Experience within Information Technology, SD-WAN, connectivity, telecommunications, or related technology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered
  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of IT products, services, infrastructure, and solutions
  • Working knowledge of connectivity, unified communications, telecommunications, contact centers, and SD-WAN
  • Ability to evaluate technical specifications, vendor solutions, licensing requirements, product capabilities, pricing, and compatibility
  • Excellent communication, consultative solution selling, negotiation, influencing, presentation, prioritization, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, technical teams, vendors, customers, Sales, Engineering, and Service
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods standing, speaking, walking, driving, and/or sitting
