About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and testing works
- Install, service, maintain and repair solar PV systems
- Work across domestic properties, primarily in social housing and local authority sectors
- Complete work to a consistently high standard in line with industry regulations and company expectations
- Complete job reports and certification accurately
- Attend and complete company-provided training
- Participate in performance reviews, improvement programmes and appraisals
- Liaise with office staff and supervisors to resolve queries
- Adhere to company KPIs and operational standards
- Carry out other reasonable duties directed by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification
- C&G 2922-34 Level 3 -Installation & Maintenance of Small-Scale PV Systems or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
- 18th Edition C&G 2382 or equivalent
- C&G 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the electrical industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the solar PV industry
- Experience with Solar PV installation and servicing
- Ability to carry out electrical reactive maintenance, testing and inspection, and electrical installation
- Competence with a wide range of solar PV systems and equipment, including monitoring devices
- Understanding of electrical systems and ability to identify and report faults
- Ability to interpret electrical/site drawings
- Knowledge of BS 7671 and BS 2922-34 regulations
- Ability to work safely in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and fire safety standards
