About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Respond to end-user support requests via telephone, email, ticketing portal, or other approved channels
  • Gather and document end-user and technical issue information
  • Identify, prioritize, schedule, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate support requests
  • Record troubleshooting steps, actions, decisions, and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical resources to resolve hardware, software, application, connectivity, and technology issues
  • Provide hands-on desktop and endpoint support, including software installation/upgrades, hardware installation, application configuration, backups, and device reformatting
  • Deploy and manage company devices and technology services
  • Support secure onboarding and separation activities for accounts
  • Administer user and application access rights
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine checks of workstations, printers, peripherals, and other equipment
  • Test fixes and conduct post-resolution follow-up
  • Develop and maintain help sheets, FAQs, procedures, and user-support documentation
  • Maintain and audit technology asset inventory
  • Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, supervisors, managers, and business partners
  • Conduct technical research, gather data, prepare reports, and support surveys or operational analysis
  • Provide presentations, technical guidance, and user education
  • Deliver customer-focused technical support and communicate accurate, timely information
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to procedures, systems, and support practices
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Support IT team members and perform additional technology-support duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One or more years of experience with computer-related configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support
  • One or more years of experience supporting Microsoft Office 365/Microsoft 365
  • One or more years of experience supporting Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality, customer-focused technical support
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong listening, communication, follow-through, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to identify customer needs and communicate technical information effectively
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing requests and responsibilities
  • Strong initiative and ability to work successfully with minimal direction
  • Ability and willingness to work effectively as part of a collaborative technology team
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, through remote-support tools, and electronic communication
  • Must occasionally lift, transport, or reposition technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Preferred: experience with Mobile Device Management platforms, Microsoft Entra ID, antivirus or endpoint-security platforms, 3CX/PBX or comparable telephony systems, PowerShell, Python, automation scripting, AI tools, and difficult network/system troubleshooting
