About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the day-to-day health, configuration, and evolution of Fleetio's Salesforce platform
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, best-practice solutions
  • Build and maintain Salesforce configuration, including Flow, validation rules, approval processes, assignment rules, custom objects and fields, record types, page layouts and dynamic forms, Lightning pages, apps and actions, mobile administration, custom settings, reports, and dashboards
  • Manage users and licenses, including setup and deactivation, roles, profiles, permission sets, public groups, org-wide defaults, and sharing rules
  • Improve Salesforce data quality through duplicate and validation rules, automation, and regular data audits
  • Administer Salesforce-connected GTM applications including Workato, Outreach, Gong, Marketo, ZoomInfo, and others
  • Troubleshoot syncs, support users and licenses, escalate to vendors, and maintain integration health
  • Serve as escalation point for complex Salesforce support issues across Flow, automation, integrations, and data
  • Perform platform maintenance including release readiness, security and permission audits, Health Check and Optimizer remediation, technical debt cleanup, and retirement of unused configuration
  • Identify underutilized Salesforce capabilities and recommend native alternatives to manual work or third-party tools
  • Contribute to the platform roadmap by sizing requests, surfacing trade-offs, and flagging downstream costs
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to bring product data into Salesforce for reporting and automation
  • Drive user adoption through training, enablement materials, and communication of platform changes
  • Maintain technical documentation
  • Report to the Salesforce Team Lead within the GTM Systems & Marketing Operations function
  • Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Finance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including significant time in Sales Cloud
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator required
  • Advanced Administrator and/or Platform App Builder strongly preferred
  • Deep declarative expertise, with Flow as the primary tool and knowledge of when Apex is appropriate
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce security and sharing architecture: roles, profiles, permission sets, OWD, sharing rules, and field-level security
  • Hands-on Salesforce data management experience using Data Loader or similar, including bulk imports, upserts, deduplication, mass updates, and migrations
  • Comfortable writing SOQL and building reports
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce APIs, connected apps, and integration users
  • Ability to diagnose common sync failure patterns
  • Experience with release management and DevOps practices in a multi-sandbox environment, including UAT, regression testing, release validation, and source-driven deployment tooling such as Gearset
  • Experience in a revenue or GTM systems environment supporting Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and/or Partner teams
  • Strong requirements-gathering and stakeholder communication skills, including explaining design trade-offs to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated judgment around change management and governance
  • Ability to read Apex and understand triggers is a plus; writing it is not required
  • Service Cloud and Experience Cloud/Partner Community experience is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with iPaaS such as Workato is a plus
